After leaving OTA in 1983, Mr. Flott spent a year as a senior fellow at the Joint Program in Transportation at the University of Toronto, during which time he started his own consulting firm specializing in transportation and international trade.
In 1984, as a founding member of the Trade & Transportation Group, he moved to the U.S.to open the Group’s office in Washington, DC. Mr. Flott entered George Washington University’s School of Law in 1985, joining Lillick, McHose & Charles in January 1986 where he worked on domestic and international shipping and tax issues.
